Hyo Jin may not have lived an ideal life, but his position as the older brother of the True Family still effected the whole Unification movement to some positive degree. I'll be taking a week off from posting anything here as a sort of moment of silence for him.
I pray with all my heart for him to have a good afterlife, for him to become an even better person and better leader in the spirit world. I also pray for his family, that they can reamain close to him and be strong so they may be relieved of their grief.

SEOUL, March 18 (UPI) -- Hyo Jin Moon, the oldest son of the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, founder of the Unification Church, died of a heart attack in Seoul. He was 45.
The younger Moon, who died Monday, was born in South Korea and grew up in the New York area, a church statement said.
He ran Manhattan Center Studios, a New York multimedia facility used by musicians and orchestras for recordings and broadcast events. He was also the founder of MC Korea and MC Japan.
Moon was a musician, performer and multimedia executive producer, producing more than a dozen albums and creating a composition catalog numbering in the thousands. He continued to perform during concerts in Asia each spring up until his death.
Before running Manhattan Center Studios, Moon worked for a decade as first president of the World Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles.
Moon spoke regularly during Sunday meetings in upstate New York, drawing on his experiences for a particular topic. His last speech, "Commitment," was delivered March 9 before he left for South Korea on a business trip.
Moon is survived by his wife, Yun Ah Choi, and four children, and five children from a previous marriage.
The Rev. Sun Myung Moon is the founder of News World Communications Inc., a media company that owns UPI.

I've been following the obituaries of Hyo Jin Moon, looking for something I could understand. I followed his life from the time he was 12. First son(of Hak Ja Han), fruit of the TP, he has always been a barometer for me of the validity of the UC. His arrogance, his bullying, his drugs and his whoring, I am at a loss to understand the praise he is receiving. I do not know anyone who knew him personally who was not in some way hurt by him, and they like me are privately shaking their heads at the hypocrisy of lauding his life.
I know of the things he's done in his past, but I believe he had finally grown up very substantially before his death.
Though, with your posting anonymously, the validity of the claims about him all over the internet comes into question. If someone who believes in all the evil which has come from Hyo Jin does not want themselves to be known, perhaps the proof behind the claims isn't so very substantial. Otherwise, why be afraid of letting your identity be known?
I person who speaks truth should never be afraid of those words being associated with them. Truth is good, truth leads to happiness, truth inevitably leads to God.
On your other idea... one man cannot be the barometer of the validity of an origination as big as the Unification Movement, no mater his relationship to the movement.
Hyo Jon is one man who, it seems, did disgusting, horrible, and disgraceful things in his past. There are two things to look at when evaluating an origination.
First, what do they teach, what is their mission, what are their goals? In this case, for that you would look at the Divine Principle, Cheon Seong Gyeong, God's Will & The Worlds, the 15 Book Hoon Dok Hae series, Blessing & Ideal Family, and many other publications by the Family Federation for World Peace & Unification or the Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity.
Next, and more importantly in a way I should say, is that you should look at how the movment as a whole behaves, how members behave. Certainly the behavior of True Parents children reflects that they were not able to be very good parents to their own children because they were to busy trying to be the True Parents of the for the whole world. However, if you look at the other members, I think you would find that the mass majority of us are not selfish bastards who beat are wives and go about having sexual relations with many women and doing drugs. I thinkm you would find that the vast majority of us are down right good people, stand up citizens, loving neighbors and parents, and most of all, I think you would find us an exceptionally generous people because of this one doctrine that is so dominant in our movement - living for the sake of others.
Just look at what we're doing with the Universal Peace Federation, Service for Peace, and Religious Youth Service. Look at what we the people of the Unification movement are doing.
My father also died from heart attack in age of 49. He was very similar to Hyo Jin. The eldest son, misunderstood and experienced hell of hells. His first wife has left him together with her children. My father was suffering because of no support and understanding. I understand his deep heart as his eldest daughter. The eldest child is to be liberated by the youngest one.
